Southeast Asia
When people are looking to go to the most beautiful tropical beaches in the world, they head to Asia. Although there are many beaches throughout the entire continent of Asia, the most popular are located in the Southeast region. Here there are crystal-clear blue waters where you can see your own reflection in the surface that’s very mirror-like, the softest sand, unique sand dunes, and of course, beaches where you can relax and enjoy the calming sound of the waves lapping against the shore. There are many different types of beaches in Asia and they all have something unique to offer every visitor!
Bali, Indonesia was once a desolate island that was rarely seen by tourists but as it becomes more widely known that it is in Bali that one can find culture unparalleled to anything else in the world the beaches here are filling up quite quickly. Seminyak is a beach in Bali that offers all of the beauty of other Bali beaches without the crowds and noise. This beach is beginning to grow and develop and there are already a few hotels sticking out among the vast greenery that still mainly surrounds Seminyak.
For many the idea of a perfect vacation is strolling along a deserted beach that is surrounded in beautiful and lush rain forests. That is what the beaches of Palawan in the Philippines are like and in fact, they are so deserted that the roads leading up to them are little more than pebble roads. This means that unless you are travelling in an off-road vehicle, you will probably need to take a short walk to any beach but these walks can be more spectacular than the beaches themselves with parrots and monkeys often stopping to welcome visitors.
Phuket, Thailand has gorgeous beaches, enough in fact that many have given it the title of having the best beaches in the entire world. For the more popular beach areas, visitors will want to head to Patong where there are a number of water activities available such as water skiing, parasailing, and scuba diving. While in Phuket, if you want to escape the busyness and head to a quieter beach, Kata is not too far from Patong and although it is also a popular beach, the crowds seem to stay closer to Patong. Kata is also secluded within a bay, which gives it a very private feeling and the aqua water is said to have healing powers!
Maldives is an area that is southwest of Sri Lanka. For those that are looking for beaches that have remained exactly the way they were formed, these beaches offer beautiful sand dunes, crystal-clear waters and the softest sand one has ever had the pleasure of putting their feet into!
